BAOCV has provided following community services for its community and helping hands for the flood and CIDR Cyclone victims in Bangladesh.

 

  • CARITAS- HOMELESS DINNER
    BAOCV provided contribution along with VMCPA for providing food for the homeless people held on Dec 25, 2008 at 1645 Buford Rd., Richmond, VA 23235 at 6:00 PM.

     
  • Winter 2008 On-Air TV Membership Campaign
    BAOCV volunteered in this campaign for new and renewal membership drives held on Dec 13, 2008 at 6:30 - 11:30 PM conducted by Community Idea Stations, Richmond. Mamo, Nabila, Nashia, Tahibur, Tuhin, Tahmina, Tahsin, and Shuvo participated in the drive.

     
  • Fall 2008 On-Air Radio Membership Campaign
    BAOCV volunteered in this campaign for new and renewal membership drives held on Oct 29, 2008 at 6:00 - 10:00 PM conducted by Community Idea Stations, Richmond. Mim, Tahsin and Wasek participated in the drive.

     
  • Fundraising for CIDR-victioms
    BAOCV performed funraising activities to help CIDR cyclone victims in Bangladesh and sent $8373 to Chief Adviser's Relief and Welfare fund on Dec 24, 2007. We also collected about 20,000 pieces of new and old cloths and sent to Bangladesh for the cyclone victims.

     
  • Fundraising for flood-victioms
    BAOCV performed a fundraising event to help flood victims in Bangladesh and sent $3000 to Chief Adviser's Relief and Welfare fund on Sep 28, 2007.

     
  • James River Clean-up
    BAOCV volunteered to clean up the bank of James river at the Robious Landing on the 9th of June 2007 from 9:00am to 1:00pm.

     
  • ElderHomes Project
    BAOCV members volunteered for renovating a home at 1403 Chambers St., Richmond on the 19th of May 2007.

     
  • Donations for VMCPA
    BAOCV members attended an annual fund raising event for Virginia Muslim Coalition for Public Affairs on April 14, 2008 at Fulgham Center, Richmond and donated $825 to VMCPA.

     
  • Moving
    BAOCV members volunteered to move IQRA (Islamic School) from Islamic Center of Virginia to its current location.
